STEPHANIE RUTHER, CPA, PARTNER

Stephanie began her career in the workforce as a wild land firefighter for CALFIRE in Southern California followed by three years in the hospitality industry. She graduated from California State University San Bernardino in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She was hired by Godecke Clark in 2009 and earned CPA status in 2013. Her areas of expertise include audit and financial statement engagements, personal and business tax planning, payroll tax, sales tax, fuel tax, and business strategic planning.

Stephanie’s strength comes from having begun her accounting career as a bookkeeper. She has the ability to review a set of books and immediately identify what is out-of-balance and knows how to provide resolutions to issues. This also gives her a strong natural understanding of the needs of her clients and their businesses. She enjoys working closely with her clients to solve bookkeeping, reporting and personnel challenges.

Stephanie grew up in the Imperial Valley and settled in the Coachella Valley in 2007. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
