Privacy Policy

Godecke Clark has developed this Privacy Policy in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Privacy Rule.  Additionally, Godecke Clark has developed this policy to assure our clients that all information shared with this firm will be treated with the utmost integrity and respect.  This Statement explains how we collect, store and use information provided.  We will continually assess our policy to ensure it remains current and accurate in meeting the needs of our clients.

  • Godecke Clark collects and uses information solely to provide you with the products and services you requested, and to advise you of additional products or services which may be of interest to you.

  • Godecke Clark collects personal information from the information you submit on your applications or other forms, and through information we obtain over the course of your business relationship with us.  In addition, we may from time to time receive information about you through a related third party such as your stockbroker, banker, or financial planner.

  • Personal information is information that we collect from you that is not otherwise available from public sources.  The categories of personal information we collect may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, names of family members, assets and income.

    • Information about your transactions with us or others, such as your account balances, investments, current and prior tax information, and credit card usage.

    • Information we may receive from a consumer reporting agency pertaining to your creditworthiness and credit history, including loan or mortgage payments made.

  • Generally speaking, we will not disclose any personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, consistent with our professional confidentiality obligations.  As your CPA, we are required to keep all information about our engagement confidential, so we will not disclose any information about you unless we have your approval or are required by law.  No personal information is shared, verbally, in writing, or online, without your permission.   We do not sell, share, or rent personal information to others.

  • Within our firm, we provide access to your personal information only to those employees who need to know the information to provide you with our services.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your personal information.

  • Income tax data and other personal information is stored on a secure computer system.  Godecke Clark maintains safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of all personal information.

  • Godecke Clark does not ever share your personal information with companies that perform marketing services.

  • Godecke Clark’s Privacy Policy applies even if you are no longer a client.   We will continue to protect and treat the information that you have trusted us with as confidential.  When your personal information is no longer needed, it is shredded, erased or destroyed before being recycled.
